Data minimisation (Art. 5(1)(c))

We process only the data necessary to operate the service: email address, tenant ID, timestamps and event metadata. No content typed by users.

Privacy by Design (Art. 25)

Privacy is built into the system architecture. The raw text of a detected violation never leaves the device (neither the Chrome extension nor the Desktop Agent) — only a SHA-256 hash is sent to the server.

Audit Log & SIEM (Art. 30)

Every event is immutably logged in the audit trail. Integration with SIEM systems (Splunk, Elastic, MS Sentinel) is available via webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256.

Frequently asked questions

Does Inscryble store content typed by users?

No. Inscryble enforces a zero raw data policy — only SHA-256 hashes of detected fragments and metadata (domain, timestamp, rule, action) are sent to the server. Raw text never leaves the user's device — this applies to both the Chrome extension and the Desktop Agent.

How does Inscryble work without an internet connection?

Security policies are cached locally — in both the Chrome extension (chrome.storage.local) and the Desktop Agent. Detection works fully offline. Violations queue locally and are sent automatically when connectivity returns.

How quickly can Inscryble be deployed across a whole company?

An admin creates an account, defines policies (or applies ready-made GDPR templates), then distributes the Desktop Agent (Windows/macOS) and the Chrome extension via MDM (e.g. Intune, Jamf, Google Workspace) with a preconfigured deployment token. Full deployment for 100 users takes under an hour.

Does Inscryble work with ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools?

Yes. The Chrome extension monitors all AI pages in the browser (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and others). The Desktop Agent also monitors the system clipboard — it detects pasting of sensitive data in any application: VS Code, Word, Slack, Teams and more.

What is the difference between the Desktop Agent and the Chrome extension?

The Chrome extension protects inside the browser. The Desktop Agent (Electron, Windows/macOS) monitors the system clipboard and user activity at the OS level — it reacts to pasting sensitive data in any application, not just the browser. Both agents use the same policies and report to one dashboard.

What personal data does Inscryble process?

Inscryble processes: user email address (login), assigned tenant (account), timestamps and event metadata. No content typed by the user. Full details in our <a href="/privacy">Privacy Policy</a>.
